Sarah Sze
Sarah Sze was born in Boston 1969, she is a contemporary artist who creates complex sculptures out of everyday readily available manufactured objects. She is interested in exploring the boundaries between art and everyday life. Her sculptures respond and infiltrate the surrounding architecture. Her immense site specific works are relevant for my project in their relationship to the individual piece and overall form. This object based sculpture could be translated to an architectural scale. using ‘bricolage’ as a medium to explore lost and found/reclaimed objects, forming part of my architecture and living with the existing architecture of the site.
Her drawing style I also find inspiring, maybe this kind of drawing can communicate a very different kind of architectural experience.
